Seconds into the game, Fiji demonstrated with a high catch and a race to their line that they were going to be just too good for the Cook Islands. They trounced the Cook Islanders in what was a disappointing showing for the local team. Solomon Islands found themselves well out of their depth when they came across Tonga in their final match of the day. Before they left the field, the Tongan team acknowledged both their opposition and the crowd before they left the field.more

Despite their huge efforts to contain the Samoan team Papua New Guinea found the strength of their Samoan counterparts too hard to control. Only allowing the Samoan team to get 35 points was a credit to the PNG team.more

Unforunately for the Cook Islands most of the game against Niue was played in their half. Niue totally outclassed the local team to win 36-0. Four tries were scored for Niue by Pulu Fataiaki.more

Fiji gets support from Fijian crowd for 54-0 win against Tahiti

Crowds of local Fijians and other team members crowded the bank to support their team to their 54-0 win against Tahiti.

Their top try scorer was Rokodiua but just about everyone else in the team got at least one try.more
