Basketball New Zealand FIBA Qualifier Basketball Coaches Clinics

As the Tall Blacks will be playing China and Hong Kong at home, there will be several FIBA Qualifier Coaching clinics held around to country as well to promote and develop the coaches in the game. The Auckland clinic will be held on the 26 June at St Kentigerns College from 7-9pm.more

Aon NZ Under 15 Basketball Squad Announced

The latest Aon New Zealand Under 15 boys and girls national basketball squads have been selected after a Basketball New Zealand age-group selection camp last April.

Basketball New Zealand’s High Performance Manager, Leonard King, says the players named have earned their spots after successfully showing they have emerging skill and talent to the national coaches.more

BBNZ first National Coaches Conference

Over the weekend Basketball New Zealand held its first National Coaches Conference at the Bruce Pullman Lodge in Auckland from 19 to 21 January.

Basketball New Zealand’s recently appointed High Performance General Manager, Leonard King led the conference. He said the theme of the conference was ‘Strength of System’, which is part of Basketball New Zealand’s High-Performance plan.more

Waitakere West Auckland Basketball are putting in a team for an u11 Development tournament starting in May next month.

Just to let you all know, we have had a change in court allocation for our WEDNESDAY AND MAINLY THE THURSDAY competition. We have also had a team withdraw for the u17 girls competition so please double check your game times. Please ensure you check the draws online as of Tuesday 22nd May as the times for your games or courts may have changed.

If you log into our website: www.wwabi.org.nz then click on LEAGUE FIXTURES/RESULTS tab, you will see a drop down box on the right hand side.
