Ocean Swim Swum and Won

Competitors hit the water at Nikko Bay for the 5km ocean swim at 12:00 noon today, with New Caledonia taking out both the mens and womens races.

New Caledonia's swimmers were ultra impressive on night three of the South Pacific Mini Games, taking 15 of the 24 medals on offer, including eight gold. Northern Marianas, Guam and Fiji also took away medals.

New Caledonia Dominates First Day of Swimming

New Caledonia has dominated the first evening of finals sessions at the poolwith some outstanding results. Taking 7 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals and 4 Bronze medals. In the Men's 200m Freestyle they won gold, silver and bronze in the one event.more

Teams Ready for Action

Nine Countries have sent swimmers to the 2005 South Pacific Mini Games with New Caledonia shaping up to be the pre Games favourites keenly looking to sweep the medals in the Pool.
