Samoa Sailing Association (SSA) is the MNA for Sailing in Samoa. There is only one Yacht Club in Samoa-Apia Yacht Club, which is located at Mulinu'u Peninsula and is the home of sailing in Samoa.

There is a very active Junior Sailing Programme since 1994 when Apia Yacht Club first received several Optimists, which had been kindly sponsored by Epiglass through the passionate efforts of Jim Stephens of New Zealand. After Samoa hosted the South Pacific Games in 2007 the 12 laser class & 12 Hobie 16's catamarans were leased to SSA who currently lease them to the Apia Yacht Club. Programs in learn to sail Hobie 16's and training of teams to represent Samoa are currently being held.
Today the fleets being sailed are Optimists ,Lasers Standard, laser radial, laser 4.7 & Hobie 16's catamarans.
