Members are advised that the closure of the shooting range due to the adjacent works being conducted by FINTEL has been extended. Please liaise with SAF Secretary for further details on when the range is expected to reopen.more

Members are advised that, due to adjacent works being conducted by FINTEL, there will be NO SHOOTING from 20th of May through to the 7th of June. The Shooting Range is closed during this period. Please liaise with SAF Executive Committee Members for further details.more

SHOOTING RESULTS - XIII FIJI GAMES 11 & 12 MAY 2013

The Shooting Competition for the 2013 FIJI GAMES concluded on Sunday 12th May. Pistol and Rifle competition was held on Saturday May 11th and Clay Target competition on Sunday May 12th. 17 competitors took part in the 7 events held over the 2 days at the Vatuwaqa Shooting Range. The Pistol and Rifle events were shot from a distance of 15-25 meters

RESULTS:

Full Bore Pistol (15m): GOLD - Robert Salva (Suva), SILVER- Dave Evans (Lami), BRONZE - Adarsh Datt (Suva)

Small Bore Pistol (25m): GOLD - Dave Evans (Lami), SILVER – Robert Salva (Suva), BRONZE – Sunil Datt (Suva)

Small Bore Rifle, Free Hand (25m): GOLD – Shalendra Prasad (Suva), SILVER – George Tudreu (Nadi), BRONZE – Anirudh Kumar (Suva)

Small Bore Rifle, Bench Rest (25m): GOLD – Peter Bidesi (Suva), SILVER – Anil Sami (Nasinu), BRONZE – Sunil Datt (Suva)

The 3 Clay Target events held on Sunday was heavily competed for, with the SILVER and BRONZE medal placing decided after a “shoot-off” in all events.

Fiji Shooting Association representatives to the Oceania Shooting Championships held at the Waitemata Clay Target Club in Auckland, New Zealand this week scooped Gold in the 3 major events.more
