Brian Kerle & Team's Visit to Samoa

The U19 boys and girls from Queensland Australia visited Samoa under the leadership of their head coach Brian Kerle. They arrived in Samoa on the 17th of September and return will return back on the 30th.more

Teuila Basketball Championship 2017

The SNBF organised the Teuila Championships for this year and it was one of the most successful event for this year. This year, there were three teams from Savaii, one open women from Tutuila, one under 18 from RLSS College, and teams from the two association East and West.more

Four High School Teams from Anoamaa College, RLSS College, Leififi College and Vaimauga College participated in the High School Basketball Tournament held at the Apia Park.more

Basketball Development in Samoa

The President of Samoa National Basketball Federation, Talalelei Pauga ran a coach course called “Start Coaching Basketball” on the 3rd and 4th August 2017 at Apia Park Gymnasium. This is an endorsed course by FIBA in order to help develop our local coaches who were interested. Basketball players nominated for the Samoa Sports Award

Two of the under 18 basketball players were among the other sports athlete who were nominated for the Junior Sportsman of the year award and the Junior Sportswoman of the year award. Although they did not win the awards, they were so happy to be one of the nominees. It was the first time Samoa has ever recognized its athletes in such a way, and for Aufui Sa'u and Ryan Paia, they felt so honored!more

Samoa 3 on 3 Tournaments

Samoa National Basketball put together a Mr. Burger 3on3 Basketball Tournament this coming week 25th of May; we named the Tournament after one of the local business sponsor ‘Mr. Burger’, the events run for 3 weeks straight in a row.more
