FREE Junior Clinic with the stars of men's softball
FPSL is super excited to announce that they will be running a FREE clinic for junior players. Join Zenon Winters and select players from both the Aussie Steelers and Junior Steelers in a 45 minute skills clinic.
The clinic will run from 5:00 pm on Saturday afternoon during the 2016 Canberra International Skins Tournament at Hawker Softball Complex. This is a great opportunity for our junior players to learn from the best. It is open to boys and girls of all ages.
Every participant will receive a ticket to go into a draw to have the opportunity of joining a selected player in the home run derby on Saturday at 6:00 pm.
The tournament runs from 12:00 pm on Friday culminating with the grand finals at 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon.
Entry in the 2016 Skins tournament is free so bring the family down to cheer on your favourites is what will be sure to be an exciting weekend of softball in the Nation’s Capital.

A very big welcome to Pom Hawks travelling all the way from Papua New Guinea! It's great to have an international team joining us this year, make sure you make them feel welcome in the ACT!
We are excited to be incorporating a Home Run Derby to our program this year. This exciting slug fest pits one member from each of the eight A grade teams fighting for the glory of being named Home Run Hero. The winner will have his name imortalised on the Canberra Trophies & Sportswear perpetual trophy and will take home a cool $500 cash in prize money.
The awesome team at Matrix Physiotherapy will once again be one hand at specified times during the weekend and for a gold coin donation will tend to all those aches and pains. You really couldn't be in better hands!

FPSL Boy's get their own competition!
FPSL is excited to announce that our boy's will be getting their own competition this season! The boys will be playing on a Saturday afternoon at Hawker Softball Complex. Phil Powell, Softball ACT's current under 15's regional coach, has accepted the position of Competition Convenor and will be overseeing the competition to ensure the season runs smoothly. This competition will replace the former Friday Night Twilight League. For more details please see letter for more information and meeting times:

Success in Singapore
FPSL is delighted to announce that they have returned from a very successful tournament at the Raffles Institution Cup in Singapore. Our senior team came away the inaugural trophy after finishing first and our Junior team tied for third place. FPSL's Liam Bell was named Senor MVP of the tournament. Well done boys, you've done us proud!

Well another season has been and gone and while we hang up our cleats until spring rolls around again we could not let the season pass without congratulating our Grand Final winners.
Sorry for the delay in posting these honours but we have been spending time updating our website and are happy to announce we now have our Trophy Room up and running! We still have some work to do and will spend the off season sorting through our archives to to build an historical timeline of all our winners and representatives.

FPSL is heading to Singapore
FPSL is delighted to announce that they have received an invitation from Raffles Institute in Singapore to take two boys teams over to play in the Raffles Cup. Teams from seven different countries have been invited to the tournament in June 2016.
Father and son coaches Bob and Laing Harrow will be leading the tour, giving boys in the 18 years and under and 15 year and under age brackets a great opportunity to develop their playing skills at the top education and sports school in Singapore.

Congratulations to Namadgi Dragons!
Congratulations to Adam, Nick and the Namadgi boys for once again taking out 1st place in a hard fought Grand Final in our A Grade competition on Tuesday night. Great to see all the fans out there watching the big boys battle it out for Grand Final glory in the 2015/2016 season.
Don't forget C and D grade finals start tomorrow night with B Grade commencing the following week.
Good luck also to all the boys heading off to Adelaide today with the ACT 89ers to compete at the Open Men's Softball Nationals!
