Did you know PaRBA is a Level 3 Good Sports Club?
Palmerston and Regional Basketball like the idea of the accountability of being involved with the Good Sports program. Volunteer committees come and go and the Good Sports program instills a culture within the organisation of healthy living options, strong policies and an conscious decision making in regards to presentations and fund raisers.
PaRBA accepts Sports vouchers for all programs.Please being to your first session and we can receipt and collect
PaRBA has partnered with Northern Territory Government and City of Palmerston to provide Youth Drop In Sports at the Palmerston Recreation Centre. Monday to Thursday 3pm-5pm and Fridays 6pm-8pm (coming soon). The program offers free access for teenagers in Palmerston to the Palmerston Recreation Centre to hangout, play basketball, netball, table tennis and ultimate frisbee.
All PaRBA Junior Programs (except Youth Drop In Sports)will be returning the week starting October 16th (Week 2 Term 4)

Poor adult behaviour on the sidelines of kids sport – many of us see it and we’ve had enough.
Our Let Kids Be Kids campaign kicked off in February and has reached right across Australia, sending the message that kids sport is for kids and that it’s firmly about fun, friendship and enjoyment.
Walking Basketball sessions locked in for Saturday 10th, Tuesday June 13th 10am and Saturday June 24th at 10am. Both at the Palmerston Recreation Centre -11 The Boulevard Palmerston.
Walking Basketball is a walking version of the fast-paced game we know and love! Suitable for all ages, sizes and abilities.

The Recreation Centre is now managed by the Council and may look closed but we will be in there! They wont be opening the doors until 5.45pm

Important Information regarding the Schools Challenge:
Basketball in the Northern Territory is in the process of reveiw in regards to restructuring, the PaRBA Board has decided to maintain a holding pattern until the decision is made which means I can not start any new competitions.
I am attempting to run something in the interim.

I’m Possible Training is coming to Darwin!!! Certified I’m Possible Skills Trainer, Daniel Calcatera, will be playing for the Razzle Storm Basketball Club as their Import for the 2017 Challenge Season! Daniel has experience playing in the USA, Europe, and Australia, and will be offering individual and group training sessions every week during the Challenge Season

FREE 3on3 Basketball! A three way collaboration between City of Palmerston , YMCA Palmerston Recreation Centre and Palmerston and Regional Basketball Assoc sees 3on3 Basketball back in Palmerston on Saturday nights. This free event is for 12-19 year olds. Games start at 5.30pm . Come along between 5 and 5.30 to register your team or as an individual.

BNT is pleased to announce that we have engaged Michael Haynes as the consultant to assist with the restructure of basketball governance and management in the NT.
Michael was recommended by the Steering Committee as he has a wealth of relevant experience, including working for the Australian Sports Commission and has a good background knowledge of basketball in the NT (and the rest of Australia

A Special General Meeting has been called to table the 2014-2015 PaRBA Financial Audit. The Special General Meeting to be conducted on Sunday July 17th 2016, at 2.00 pm at Lia Finocchiaro MLA’s office.
PaRBA's new Rising Stars program taking a shine within NT Basketball, Starting of with an episode of Around Palmerston.
Midnight Basketball are currently seeking committee members and would love some involvement from members of the basketball community.
If you were to join the committee it would require you to attend fortnightly after hours meetings, meet responsibilities of the role you choose (things like planning catering, booking referees, scheduling buses or getting people to register depending on the role).
BNT is looking for two new Board members. The Board is particularly looking for skills in project management, risk assessment and communications and media. Please contact the BNT office if you are interested in assisting the Board, either with a short term project or on a longer term basis.
