Riyadi -Beirut retained the Lebanese Cup for the second consecutive year after beating Blue Stars on the score of 95-92 after over time.

The   game was a very exciting one throughout all its minutes and the two teams had new names in their line ups  riyadi welcomed back Adrian "Ace " Custis while  Blue Stars had Jerald Honeycutt & Ronald Hale two big names in the Asian Continent .

 The two teams gave  a big show in the court. The game started by a small dominance from Riyadi who led the game from the tip off by great plays from its players , the First Quarter finished on the score of 24-18.

 

In the second Quarter Riyadi players started pounding Blue Stars basket with 3points , they had 7 three pointers made in this quarter and 11 in the first half. Fadi Khatib took the job to keep his team close to Riyadi in this quarter by scoring 10pts .The score at the half was 50-37.

In the third  Quarter the game turned to be an equal one and Riyadi started to face difficulties in imposing their game , the percentage of the three points shots dropped down seriously to 1 from 10 ( 11 from 22 in the first half) due to the good defense applied by Blue Stars players , at the end of this quarter Riyadi managed to regain the rhythm of the game and to have back a comfortable lead on the score of 69-57.

In the fourth quarter after two minutes Blue Stars Star Fadi Khatib ws fouled out and he was replaced by Jean Abed El Nour who inspired his team with a big comeback by scoring 11pts , for the first time this year Riyadi players lost control of a game and the difference started to be smaller and smaller minute after minute until the hero of the 4^th quarter Jean Abed El Nour tied the game with 2.8 seconds left on the clock  which sent Riyadi for the first time since 3 years to an overtime game in Lebanon , the score was in the end of the 4^th quarter 82-82.

In the overtime the experience of Riyadi players and especially Ace Custis who nailed a crucial three pointer in the last minute gave Riyadi their second consecutive Cup Title .The game finished on the score of 95-92.
