Favourite moment/highlight in your playing career
Wouldn’t say it was a highlight as we got thumped by over 150 pints, but the first time playing against Vic back in 2003 (Darwin Nationals) and getting the chance to play against the best in the game. Was a really great experience and one I’ll never forget. Funny how things work in footy, a lot of those girls are now my team mates and good friends.
How I first got involved in AFL
My next door neighbour and I would always play kick to kick in the driveway at home, eventually our parents started up a Junior Footy Club in our local community and so we thought we’d give it a go. I can still remember our mums' sowing the club patches on all the jumpers before our first game. Having footy as an outlet growing up certainly helped me and despite my gender has helped open a lot of doors for me, career wise, as an adult.
Any mantra or favourite quote that you live by or sums up your attitude towards your football?
Not really I just love footy, but if I had to pick something that has always stuck with me, I guess just like Pete (Victorian coach Peta Searle) is always drumming into us, constantly raise the bar.
